Dr. Tao Wang is the Director of Development at The Global Industry Hub, where he leads fundraising strategy and partnerships to support the global industrial decarbonization transition. He has nearly 20 years of experience at the intersection of climate, energy, and policy research.
His professional focus includes climate and energy policy, philanthropy strategy, and international collaboration on deep decarbonization. He previously served as China Strategist at the ClimateWorks Foundation, Assistant Dean of the Yicai Research Institute, and resident scholar at the Carnegie–Tsinghua Center for Global Policy. He has also taught as a guest lecturer at Tsinghua University’s Department of International Relations. Earlier, he worked at WWF China and as a researcher at the Tyndall Centre and SPRU, University of Sussex.
Dr. Wang holds a BSc in Environmental Science and Engineering from Fudan University and a PhD in Environmental Economics from the University of York, UK.
When not working on our climate future, Tao is usually lost without signal in the national parks or hiking in neighbourhood hills.
