Shivani Desai

Shivani Desai is a Senior Program Associate at The Global Industry Hub. She is ocused on shaping philanthropy strategies and deploying capital to accelerate the transition toward a climate-aligned chemicals industry. She manages a diverse portfolio of grants and partnerships across key global regions, engaging with a broad coalition of NGOs, academic institutions, policy think tanks, and other advocates to advance systemic change in the sector. She has been part of the Hub since its inception and played an instrumental role during its formation and startup phase—contributing to its initial strategy and leading overall project management efforts. 

Shivani began her journey in industrial decarbonization as part of ClimateWorks Foundation’s Industry Program. Prior to joining ClimateWorks, Shivani spent over seven years in philanthropy advisory and social impact consulting in India at Dasra and Sattva Consulting, partnering with leading institutions to shape strategies and scale impact across environment, health, and education. She holds a Master’s degree in Environment Policy and International Development from The Fletcher School at Tufts University.
