Michael Allen

Michael Allen is Chief Development Officer at The Global Industry Hub, bringing over 20 years of experience in government, philanthropy, foundation management, strategy, and sector governance. He previously led the international expansion of Australia's largest health development organisation, standing up offices  in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. He  is a leading voice on global north/south market development, philanthropic partnerships, and effective public-private partnerships (PPPs). He has served on several non-profit boards and has an active interest in NGO governance and leadership.

Prior to philanthropy, for 15 years Michael served as political advisor and professional campaign manager in both Australia and the United States and is comfortable navigating complex public interest issue and stakeholder challenges. Through this work, he maintains deep relationships with governments in various jurisdictions around the world. 

Michael holds a Graduate degree in Socio-Environmental Assessment & Policy from RMIT University, Melbourne. He is based in Sydney, Australia and when not thinking about decarbonizing industry, he can be found on Sydney Harbour or on a golf course looking for a lost ball.
