Hyoeun Jenny Kim is Chief Executive Officer at The Global Industry Hub, bringing more than 30 years’ diplomatic experience in climate, environment, trade, development, and convening. A career diplomat, Jenny served as the Deputy Minister and Ambassador for Climate Change for the Republic of Korea, leading bilateral and multilateral cooperation as head of delegation and chief negotiator. s She also served as Deputy Director-General of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), supporting developing countries and emerging economies to achieve economic growth and environmental sustainability through a new paradigm of green growth. 

Through her work as an ambassador to Senegal and five neighboring African countries, Jenny built strategic development cooperation between nations. In the Korean Foreign Ministry, she was director for climate change and director for World Trade Organization (WTO), and served as the Vice Chair of Trade and Environment Joint Committee of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the Chair of Budget and Management Committee of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). 

Jenny earned her Bachelor’s degree in political science and diplomacy from Yonsei University in Seoul and Master’s from the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington in Seattle. Her first book, A Diplomat Must Be a Multiplayer, was published in 2008, and the second book, Audacious Challenge to International Organizations, was released in 2013. In 2019, She co-published Korean translation of However Long the Night, an American NGO leader’s story on promoting African women’s human rights.
