Christy Stanker

Christy Stanker is Program Manager for Cement and Building Materials at the Global Industry Hub. She drives grantmaking strategy and stakeholder engagement to accelerate the decarbonization of the cement and concrete sectors, overseeing a portfolio spanning research, policy, and the deployment of low-carbon technologies across India, Africa, Asia, the U.S., and Europe.

Before becoming glued to cement, Christy’s career began in California politics, managing campaigns and working for a State Assembly member, before transitioning to climate and the nonprofit sector. She directed programs on sustainable food and agriculture systems and the energy transition at Net Impact. She holds a B.A. from UC Berkeley.
